A couple of weeks ago we made jabberwocky models. We had to make a card model with at least one moving part.We used card, paper and Stanley knifes (with our teachers supervision) to cut the card, some people just did the jabberwocky face and others did the body too.
Every year when we have sports day we have teams, they are called Crathes, Drum, Craigievar and Dunnotar.
The teams were just used for sports day but now we use them for house points as well, house points are when your teacher or a staff member says you can have a point.
We used milk bottles or small orange juice bottles for putting the points in .We got bottles by asking the children to bring them in. We used small counters that are different colours the colours are green, blue, red and yellow for each team colour if your colour ran out you could use the white that was also in the tub of colours.
As we get points we need people to count them so we got house captains. People nominated themself or other people, (only people in primary seven). In assembly people who were nominated went up and told everyone why they would be a good house captains.
Now we have six house captains two for each group one girl and one boy. Their names are Nicole and Leslie, Shaun and Hope Kaitlin and Rhys and Casey and Jack.

We’ve been writing newspaper reports about the Jabberwocky zigzag books we’ve been making. The newspaper reports were the first proper news reports done by P7B this year. People made quite a few mistakes, although we learnt from it. By Jason and Lewis
We have been studying the poem, The Jabberwocky .We made our own stories based on the Jabberwocky but changed the character, monster and the setting. We made Zig Zag books about our stories . We have put some zig zag books on the wall. Here are some of the pictures that we took of them.
This term we have been studying the Jabberwocky.
You can listen to a version of the poem by clicking here
Our class had to do an alternative version to the poem. We replaced the nonsense words with real words. We had to work out which words were nouns, verbs and so on. We recorded some of our versions of the alternative Jabberwocky poems on audacity.
This is the beginning of our 25 year anniversary garden.
THESE ARE OUR STONES, WE PAINTED THEM, THEN WE VARNISHED THEM AND FINALLY WE PLACED THEM IN CEMENT TO MAKE A STONE MOUND.
THESE ARE OUR WALK OF FAME HAND PRINTS. WE WET OUR HANDS AND THEN PUSHED THEM INTO THE CEMENT AND THEN AFTER A WHILE WE TOOK THEM OUT AND LEFT THEM TO DRY.
